personally think people who are older underestimate 11/12 year olds. We are basically mature enough to go on a simple date. Some people are like 'absoleutly not!' but guess what, I'm maturer than most 14 year olds. I know about sex and know that if the guy goes to far to kick him and say no. It's not like we are asking for sex, drugs, or any other crap. All 11 year olds should have the right to date without people saying 'ABSOLEUTLY NOT, TOO YOUNG'. Are you freaking kidding me? We're not 2 year olds that need diaper changes every other hour. I'm allowed to go to the mall with a friend of mine by myself, it'll be like dating a guy. It's the 21st century people, 11 year olds know better than to have sex (except if they are complete idiots and don't even know what it is, which I doubt is the case). We have dates like everyone else, except we don't take our dates home for the night. Come on people, we are not babies.
you have a very valid point.i had my first boyfriend when i was ten.my mom eventually figured it out, but she's such a cool mom.she didn't get mad or anything, she just let us have our little puppy love fun.when you get older, you realize that you just liked him.by then, usually you fall in love with someone.it's very hard to distinguish that as a kid because you've never had it.that's what other people have a problem with.but i thought it was fun experimenting, i never liked my first three boyfriends, i just thought they were really good friends so i went out with them thinking i liked them. then i actually fell in love with someone and realized that it's more than them being a good friend, it's a whole different emotion.keep experimenting, it's worth it to know the difference.
